You donation will directly benefit Venice High School’s Mandarin Immersion Program. Our donation ask for each family is $200. Here are examples of what your contributions will help fund:

• Fund Mandarin Immersion classroom text books

• Ponddy reader membership

• Learn Chinese and Quizlet for teaching

• Field trip to Huntington Library Chinese Garden

• Fund Chinese Club needs

• Cultural celebrations such as

  • Moon festival

  • Lunar New Year celebration with lion dance performance and sugar painting

  • AAPI month events and celebration banquet

• In classroom cultural experiences

  • Chinese calligraphy workshop and supplies

  • Chinese ethnic group costumes and Kongfu custumes.

  • Food projects: Zongzi (rice dumpling), baozi (bao), hotpot, dumping, yuanxiao (Sweet sticky rice balls) and moon cake for teaching and students' collaboration.

  • Chinese posters of Qingming River Map, Chinese map and Chinese flag.

  • Culture project materials for making Chinese Lanterns, Chinese landscape painting, Chinese Peking opera mask

• Volunteer, mentorship, and community building opportunities through DragonSprouts Ambassadors for high school

• Chinese short story books and novels

Any donation can be earmarked for a specific purpose. If you wish to earmark your donation, please specify in the “Dedicate This” section or contact us at nihao@dragonsprouts.org.
